Winterfest is an all-weather event, and we are open rain or shine! The market will only shut down in the event of severe weather as instructed by the national weather service. At that point, we will post messages of closure on our website and social media outlets.
There is no entrance fee for Winterfest. Ice skating, kids’ activities, Jingle Bell games, demonstrations and main stage events are free due to the generosity of Winterfest sponsors and donors. The only cost is for gifts, food or beverages purchased at the vendor huts or food trucks.
Both credit cards and cash are accepted by most vendors. The nearest ATM is located at the Food Lion Parking lot, 313 N. Salisbury Ave, Spencer.

Tobacco products are not permissible while on the Market premises (including cigarettes, e-cigarettes, vape pens and pipes).
Reservations are not necessary, but we encourage you to sign up for a time slot as soon as you arrive. Skates are provided. Although the ice is synthetic, you may bring your own skates. Please refer to the Spencer on Ice section of the Winterfest website for more information.
Personal photography and videography is allowed. Any commercial use or applications must be approved by Winterfest.
Yes. Drones may not be used at Winterfest unless prior approval has been obtained in writing from the Town of Spencer Public Works. Contact information can be found at www.spencernc.gov or call 704-633-2231.
Surface and Street Parking
Parking is available in surface lots and on-street parking at no charge. Please refer to Parking map on website for available lots and bus parking.
There is limited handicap parking and is highlighted on the Parking map. A handicap drop-off area is located on Fifth Street at Town Hall.
No. Every effort is made to make our event accessible but wheelchairs or other mobility equipment must be provided by guests.
The Covid-19 situation is constantly evolving, and our policies are subject to change at any time. Safety of our guests, vendors and staff is our top priority. We adhere to NC legal mandates and CDC guidelines. Masks are recommended for visitors but are not required. Additionally, we ask any guests who currently have symptoms of Covid-19 or have been in close contact with someone who has Covid-19 to stay home.
